It’s A to Z: The Art of Arleen Schloss Gets its Premiere in Paris at Art Exhibit Honoring the Women of Rivington School from New York City

March 2, 2025, New York, NY –The highly anticipated documentary film It's A to Z: The Art of Arleen Schloss will have its Paris premiere at an art exhibition titled WARS: Women Artists of the Rivington School, Then and Now, a survey of female artists connected to the Lower East Side in New York City during the burgeoning art scene of the 1980s.

The exhibition, held at Memoire A Venir, is from March 8, 2025 to April 5, 2025 and April 11, 2025 to May 8, 2025. It’s A to Z: The Art of Arleen Schloss is opening the exhibition with a screening on March 8, 2025 from 7:30pm to 10:15pm. A pioneer in the arts, Arleen Schloss founded A’s, an iconic interdisciplinary loft art space in New York City that became a hub for musicians, visual artists, performers, filmmakers, and video artists in Downtown New York. Active since the 1970s as a performance artist, Schloss has also directed and curated numerous art events in Lower Manhattan and helped places like the Rivington School grow in stature.


Artists in the group exhibition include Victoria Alexander, Margaret Bazura, Margalit Berriet, Tobey Crockett, EiLeen Doster, Nina Sobell, Maggie Ens, Andrea Legge, Ingrid Lindfors, Gloria McLean, Orange Pritchett Neuman Maggie Reilly, Sue Strande, Teressa Valla, Sally Young, Suki Valentine.


It’s A to Z: The Art of Arleen Schloss is an award-winning film directed by Stuart Ginsberg, edited by Victor Acevedo, and produced by Stephan Bielecki, Tobi Elkin, Jeff Ginsberg and Patrick Lichty.
